If you have agreed to share your name, and social media handle, we may use this information for Newcastle University promotional materials including the website, email communications and social media to promote this challenge and future alumni events. We will keep this information and images for use in promotional materials for 5 years, at this point they will no longer be used.

Newcastle University is the data controller for this information, and is registered with the Information Commissioner. Your details will be stored on the University's Advancement Office database. The University will use those details to send you news and information about its academic and alumni activities.
We'll also offer opportunities for you to be involved with the University and support its work in a variety of ways. This could include attending events, giving, advocacy, or volunteering. We do not pass your data to third parties. You do not have to provide this information, but if you do then its provision will be regarded as consent to use it for direct marketing (eg e-newsletters, fundraising, invitations to events and telephone fundraising).
