Anatomy Symposium: Technology-enhanced learning in Anatomy (19/07/18) Booking Form

\Our aim in this one day symposium is to bring together anatomy educators to share their experiences and expertise in the use of technology in anatomy education. In addition, we invite you to tour our updated facility; we have made significant investments in technology recently in order to enhance the student experience and embed the use of the latest available technology into our teaching practices. This includes our SECTRA table and glasses-free 3D Alioscopy Screen, as well as 4K camera technology in the Dissecting Room.

We are also inviting you to see the latest developments we have made in our soft-fix cadaveric preservation techniques; our approach has been successfully adopted by a number of medical schools and we invite you to see this first hand for yourselves.

Professor Wojciech Pawlina, an esteemed Anatomy Educator and Researcher will formally open the facility and give a keynote address. Professor Pawlina is the Chair of Anatomy and Professor of Medical Education at the Mayo Clinic and he is also the Editor of Anatomical Sciences Education Journal. As such he has many years of experience in medical education and publishing pedagogic research to share with us. We also have a number of esteemed medical educators from our region sharing their experiences of using technology in anatomy education.

We hope that this event will enable attendees to share expertise and develop their own pedagogy and that it will enable collaborative initiatives in anatomy teaching and learning between us.
