NUTELA 4Bs The Digital Scholar- themes, issues and directions

We are excited to announce that Martin Weller, Professor of Educational Technology, from the Open University will be joining us to deliver a webinar on:

Monday 30 April 2018
09:30-11:00
HASS Doctoral Training Suite, Daysh Building
Join us from 09:00 for Bacon Butties and Beverages.

In 2011 Martin Weller published The Digital Scholar, which examined the possible impact of digital, networked technology on scholarly practice. Much has changed since then so using the book as a basis, this talk considers changes in digital scholarship since its publication, identifying five key themes: mainstreaming of digital scholarship; the shift to open; policy implementation; network identity; criticality of digital scholarship. This talk will consider each of these, and possible future directions for digital scholarship.
