Newcastle University is the data controller for this information. Your details will be stored on the University's Advancement Office database and will be used to meet our legitimate interests in administration for this event. Post event we will use your details to meet our legitimate interests in sending you news and information about our academic and alumni activities, and offering opportunities for you to be involved with the University through attending events and volunteering. We will also update your record with the information you have provided to keep our systems accurate. If you have provided your social media handles, we will engage with you on social media by following you, commenting or liking your posts or message you depending on the platform.
If you have agreed to share your name, and social media handle, we may use this information for Newcastle University promotional materials including the website, email communications and social media to promote this event and future alumni events. We will keep this information and images for use in promotional materials for 5 years; after this point they will be deleted.
If you have informed us of any dietary requirements, accessibility and/or mobility requirements (such as hard of hearing) for the event in question, we will retain this information for one month post-event at which point it will be deleted.
